ASS-ratiopharm 100 mg TAH contains the active ingredient acetylsalicylic acid.Each tablet contains 100 mg of acetylsalicylic acid.The preparation also contains the excipients corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose and cellulose powder.

Areas of application

ASS-ratiopharm 100 mg TAH is used to prevent and treat various cardiovascular diseases.These include unstable angina pectoris, acute myocardial infarction, reinfarction prophylaxis, as well as the prevention of cerebral infarctions and transient ischemic attacks (TIA).It is also used after arterial vascular surgery or interventional procedures.It is not suitable for treating pain conditions.

Mode of action

Acetylsalicylic acid acts as an inhibitor of cyclooxygenase.It irreversibly inhibits platelet aggregation, improves the flow properties of the blood and thus helps to prevent vascular occlusions.

Dosage and application

The dosage of ASS-ratiopharm 100 mg TAH depends on the respective disease.A daily dose of 1 to 3 tablets is generally recommended, depending on the indication.The tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid after a meal.In the event of an acute heart attack, the first tablet should be bitten or chewed.

Contraindications

ASS-ratiopharm 100 mg TAH should not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients, acute stomach and intestinal ulcers, pathologically increased bleeding tendency, liver and kidney failure as well as severe, uncontrolled heart muscle weakness.The product should also not be used if you have had allergic reactions or asthma attacks in the past when taking salicylates or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Particular caution is required in the case of hypersensitivity to other anti-inflammatory drugs, existing allergies, asthma, hay fever, chronic respiratory diseases, simultaneous therapy with anticoagulants, stomach or intestinal ulcers in the past, oxalate urolithiasis, iron storage diseases, impaired liver and kidney function, patients with cerebral hemorrhages, patients with gout and before operations.

Storage
