Mepilex Border Flex Lite is a thin, highly customizable, self-adhesive and absorbent dressing.It maintains a moist wound environment and has a waterproof outer layer that protects the wound from dirt and bacteria.The Safetac wound contact layer is a unique adhesive technology that minimizes patient pain and trauma to wounds and surrounding skin when removing the dressing.

The bandage is characterized by improved adaptability thanks to the unique Flex technology.The 4-layer dressing absorbs, drains and keeps exudate away from the wound bed.

Scope of application

Mepilex Border Flex Lite can also be used by laypeople under the supervision of a medical professional.Clean the wound according to clinical practice and carefully dry the surrounding skin.Choose an appropriate dressing size that should cover the dry surrounding skin by at least 1 - 2 cm to protect the surrounding skin from maceration and securely fix the dressing.

Remove the first protective film and place the adhesive side on the wound.Remove the remaining protective film(s) and smooth the bandage onto the skin.Do not stretch the bandage.The dressing change interval can be several days.Change the dressing before it is fully saturated, if there is evidence of leakage, or according to clinical practice.

Mepilex Border Flex Lite can be used under compression bandages and in combination with gels.Disposal must be carried out in accordance with local environmental regulations.

Precautions

Do not use Mepilex Border Flex Lite in patients and/or users with a known hypersensitivity to the materials/components of the product.Do not use the dressing with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide.

If you see signs of clinical infection, such as fever or if the wound or surrounding skin becomes red, warm or swollen, contact a healthcare professional for appropriate treatment.

Warnings

The polyurethane foam used in the product may turn yellowish when exposed to light, air and/or heat.The color change does not affect the product properties if the product is used before the expiry date.If a serious incident has occurred involving Mepilex Border Flex Lite, report it to Mölnlycke Health Care and your local authority.
