Loratadine STADA 10 mg tablets are used to treat symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as hay fever, as well as hives of unknown cause (chronic idiopathic urticaria).The medicine belongs to the group of antihistamines and is used for allergic diseases that are associated with increased histamine release.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in Loratadine STADA 10 mg tablets is loratadine.Each tablet contains 10 mg of loratadine.The other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate (Ph.Eur.) and corn starch.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as directed.Adults and children over 12 years of age and children aged 2 to 12 years with a body weight of over 30 kg should take 1 tablet once a day.Children weighing 30 kg or less should not take the tablet.The effectiveness and safety in children under 2 years have not been established.Patients with severe liver damage should take the tablet every other day.No dosage adjustment is necessary in elderly patients or in patients with impaired renal function.

Intake

The tablet is intended to be taken orally and can be taken without regard to meals.Swallow the tablet whole and without chewing with a glass of water.The score line is only used to divide the tablet to make it easier to swallow and not to divide it into equal doses.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to loratadine or any of the other ingredients.It should not be used in infants and young children under 2 years of age and in children weighing less than 30 kg.Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.

Side effects

Children under 12 may experience headaches, nervousness and tiredness.In adolescents aged 12 and over and adults, increased appetite, headaches, sleepiness and insomnia may occur.If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

Keep the medicine out of the reach and reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the carton and blister pack.This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.Do not dispose of medicines in wastewater.Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicine when you no longer use it.
