Area of application

Loratadine STADA® 10 mg tablets belong to the group of antihistamines and are used to treat symptoms of certain allergic diseases that are associated with increased histamine release.The preparation is used to treat allergic rhinitis, such as hay fever, as well as chronic idiopathic urticaria, i.e. hives of unknown cause.The active ingredient loratadine helps to relieve symptoms such as swollen nasal mucosa or skin rashes.

Each tablet contains 10 mg of the active ingredient loratadine.In addition, the preparation contains the following excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate and corn starch.Please note that the product contains lactose.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to loratadine or any of the other ingredients.In addition, the preparation is not suitable for children with a body weight of 30 kg or less.The effectiveness and safety in children under 2 years have not been established.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as directed.Adults and children over 12 years of age and children from 2 to 12 years of age with a body weight of over 30 kg should take 1 tablet (equivalent to 10 mg of loratadine) once a day.Patients with severe liver damage are recommended to initially take 1 tablet every other day.No dosage adjustment is necessary in elderly patients or in patients with renal insufficiency.

Overdose may cause drowsiness, rapid heartbeat and headache.If you have taken too many tablets, please contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.If you forget to take a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible and continue taking it as usual.

Intake

The tablets are intended for oral use and can be taken without regard to meals.Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.The score line is only used to divide the tablet to make it easier to swallow and not to divide it into equal doses.

Patient information

Take special care when taking it if you suffer from severe liver impairment.If you plan to have a skin test, you should stop using the medicine at least 48 hours beforehand.In very rare cases, some people may experience dizziness, which may impair their ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

No teratogenic effects of loratadine were found in animal studies.The safety of using loratadine during pregnancy has not been established.It is therefore not recommended to use the drug during pregnancy.Since loratadine passes into breast milk, it is not recommended to be used during breastfeeding.

Storage
