Areas of application

Aurica dandelion tea is used for bile flow disorders that are accompanied by digestive problems such as flatulence and a feeling of fullness.It can also help with loss of appetite.If symptoms persist or recur, a doctor should be consulted.

Contraindications

The tea must not be used if the bile ducts are blocked, intestinal obstruction, gallbladder inflammation or if you are known to be hypersensitive to dandelion.If you have gallstones, you should consult a doctor before use.Due to a lack of research, use is not recommended during pregnancy, breastfeeding and children under 12 years of age.

Precautions and warnings

So far there is no evidence of risks from using dandelion root as medicine or in food.However, there are no sufficient studies on its use during pregnancy, breastfeeding and in children under 12 years of age.Therefore, use in these groups is not recommended.

Interactions with other agents

To date, there are no known interactions with other agents.

Dosage instructions and method of application

Unless otherwise prescribed, a cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows is drunk 2 to 3 times a day to stimulate the appetite half an hour before meals, otherwise after meals: 1 tablespoon full (approx. 2.5 g) of dandelion tea is poured over with boiling water (approx. 150 ml) and after about 10 to 15 minutes, if necessary, strained through a tea strainer.

Side effects

As with all drugs containing bitter substances, symptoms can occur due to excessively acidic gastric juice.In rare cases, hypersensitivity to dandelion may cause itching and reddening of the skin.If these side effects occur, the medicine should no longer be used.

Composition

The medicinally active ingredient is dandelion.The plant contains bitter substances, triterpenes and taraxacoside.The bitter substances stimulate the flow of bile and thus promote fat digestion.The diuretic effect is known, but has not yet been clearly proven.

Storage

The medicine should be stored away from heat, moisture and light.It should no longer be used after the expiry date.
