Clotrimazole 1% cream - 1 A Pharma is a medicine for the treatment of fungal skin infections.The active ingredient clotrimazole fights fungi such as dermatophytes, yeasts (e.g. Candida species), molds and others such as Malassezia furfur as well as infections caused by Corynebacterium minutissimum.These infections can manifest themselves as fungal infections of the feet, skin and skin folds, superficial yeast infections (candidiasis), bran fungus (pityriasis versicolor) or erythrasma.

No prescription is required for this product.

Application

Apply the cream thinly to the affected skin areas 2 to 3 times a day and rub in lightly.A small amount of cream (approx. 1/2 cm strand length) is enough for an area about the size of a palm.If you have athlete's foot, your feet should be dried thoroughly after each wash, especially between the toes.

The duration of treatment depends on the type of disease.It is important to use it regularly and for a sufficiently long period of time.For complete healing, the treatment should be carried out for at least 4 weeks, even if the symptoms subside.Bran fungus generally heals in 1-3 weeks, and erythrasma in 2-4 weeks.If you have athlete's foot, the cream should be used for about 2 weeks, even if the symptoms have already subsided.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is clotrimazole.1 g of cream contains 10 mg of clotrimazole.The other ingredients are benzyl alcohol, cetyl palmitate, cetostearyl alcohol, thick paraffin, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate and purified water.

Storage

Keep the cream out of the reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the packaging.Once opened, the cream has a shelf life of 6 months.No special storage conditions are required.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before use.

Possible side effects include hypersensitivity reactions of the skin, such as burning, stinging or redness.If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Special Notes

Caution is advised if you are allergic to fungal agents.Emulsifiers such as cetyl/stearyl alcohol can cause skin irritation.Use careful personal hygiene to promote healing and avoid getting the medicine in your eyes.
