Buscopan Plus is a medicine used to treat cramping pain in the gastrointestinal tract, the biliary and urinary tracts and the female genital organs. It contains the active ingredients butylscopolaminium bromide and paracetamol. The dosage is 1 suppository for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over, which can be used every 6 hours, but not more than 3-4 suppositories per day. The duration of use should not exceed 3-4 days. If necessary, the suppositories can be applied by removing the wrapping and inserting the suppository into the empty rectum. Possible side effects include gastrointestinal discomfort, dry mouth, dizziness, fatigue, skin reactions and sweating. Buscopan Plus is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, constriction in the digestive tract, cardiac arrhythmia, urinary retention and certain diseases of the liver and kidneys. The drug should not be used during pregnancy and lactation.
