Instructions for use of the article Cosmopor Advance 7,2 cm x 5 cm: Cosmopor Advance is a sterile self-adhesive wound dressing made from soft non-woven backing with a highly absorbent wound pad. It features the innovative DryBarrier technology, which allows wound exudate to be absorbed into the wound pad but not released - even under pressure. This allows the dressing to remain on the wound longer. The dressing has a wound contact layer made of a fine-mesh polyethylene net that prevents it from sticking to the wound. A transfer layer directs the exudate into the absorbent layer where it is permanently stored to prevent rewetting. The dressing offers high absorbency and is skin-friendly due to hypoallergenic synthetic adhesive. Cosmopor Advance is suitable for post-operative wound care as well as the sterile treatment of minor injuries. It can also be used on patients with sensitive skin.
