Directions for use: Biotin-ratiopharm 5 mg tablets are used for the therapy and prophylaxis of biotin deficiency states, especially in the very rare biotin-dependent multiple carboxylase deficiency. The dosage depends on the individual need, whereby 1/2-1 tablet daily is recommended for the prevention and treatment of a biotin deficiency. The duration of intake depends on the course of the underlying disease. Side effects may include allergic skin reactions. Pregnant and breastfeeding women can take the medicine without restrictions. Interactions with other medicines are possible. The tablets should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid. Before use, the package leaflet should be read and the doctor or pharmacist should be asked for advice. The product contains lactose and is manufactured by ratiopharm GmbH.
