Instructions for use for NYSTADERM Cream, 50 g

Nystaderm cream contains the active ingredient nystatin and is used to treat fungal infections of the skin, especially yeast infections with Candida spp. such as nappy candidiasis. The cream acts specifically against saprophytic and parasitic yeast fungi and inhibits their spread. It is applied thinly to the affected skin areas, 2-4 times a day. Treatment should be given for about 6 days and continued for another 8-10 days if necessary. The cream should not be used in case of allergic reaction to nystatin or any of the other ingredients. It may be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Possible side effects are skin irritation and hypersensitivity reactions. The cream should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be stored above 25ºC. The package leaflet contains further important information.
