Area of application

This medicine is used to treat fungal skin diseases.It is effective against various types of fungal infections, including those caused by dermatophytes, yeasts such as Candida species, molds and others such as Malassezia furfur.The diseases that can be treated include mycoses of the feet, skin and skin folds, pityriasis versicolor and superficial yeast infections (candidiasis).

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in this medicine is clotrimazole with a concentration of 10 mg.It also contains the excipients isopropyl alcohol, macrogol 400 and propylene glycol.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients.

Dosage

Always use the medicine exactly as described or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.Apply the solution thinly to the affected skin areas 2 to 3 times a day.Usually a few drops are enough for an area about the size of your palm.The duration of treatment depends on the type of disease.It is important to use it regularly and for a sufficiently long period of time.For complete healing, the treatment should be carried out for at least 4 weeks, even if the symptoms subside.Bran fungus generally heals in 1-3 weeks.In the case of fungal infections of the feet, use should be continued for about 2 weeks after the symptoms have subsided.

If you use more solution than you should, no cases of overdose have been reported.If you forget to use it, do not use a double dose.Stopping treatment may cause the fungal infection to spread or reoccur.

Intake

Rub the solution lightly into the skin.If you have athlete's foot, your feet should be dried thoroughly after each wash, especially the spaces between the toes.

Patient information

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.If you are known to be hypersensitive to macrogol, propylene glycol or isopropyl alcohol, it is recommended to use a different dosage form.Due to the propylene glycol content, the solution should not be used on mucous membranes as local irritation is possible.The solution must not get into the eyes.No special precautions are required when driving or using machines.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.The active ingredient clotrimazole is only absorbed into the body in very small quantities, so a systemic effect is not to be expected.There are no studies on the use of the solution during pregnancy.The solution should not be used on the lactating breast during breastfeeding.

Notes

No prescription is required for this product.The solution must not get into the eyes.Appropriate hygienic measures, such as regular linen changes, should be carried out during treatment.
