Heparin AL Gel 30.000 is used for the supportive treatment of acute swelling after blunt injuries such as bruises and haematomas. The gel contains the active substance heparin sodium, which has a blood-thinning and anticoagulant effect. This is said to support the breakdown of blood clots and to remove metabolic products more quickly. The gel has a cooling effect and can reduce swelling, bruising and inflammation. It is applied thinly and evenly 2-3 times a day to the affected skin areas. The gel should not be used on open skin areas. The maximum duration of application is 10 days. A doctor or pharmacist should be consulted before use. The gel contains porcine heparin sodium and may cause allergic reactions. It should not be used if there is an allergy to any of the ingredients or if there is a reduced platelet count. There are no indications that the gel should not be used during pregnancy and lactation. The gel should be used within 6 months after opening and stored at room temperature.
