Rivanol® solution 0.1% is ideal for compresses, rinses and wound disinfection.It soothes insect bites through its cooling and anti-itching effect.The solution can be used directly or diluted (1:2 to 1:4), twice a day for about 30 minutes.It is ready to use and ready to use straight away.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.It must not be used around the eyes.

Dosage

The usual dose is to use the undiluted solution twice daily for at least 30 minutes.Do not use the solution for more than 7 days without medical advice.If you have deep, heavily soiled or difficult-to-heal wounds, you should consult a doctor.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.Experiments with ethacridine lactate on animals did not demonstrate the development of malformations.There is no experience of safety in humans with use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.It is not known whether ethacridine lactate monohydrate is excreted in breast milk.The preparation should therefore not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Notes

If bandages and compresses are repeatedly doused, the active ingredient concentration can increase significantly due to evaporation of the solvent.This can cause local irritation.No prescription is required for this product.

How long does Rivanol® last?The shelf life of Rivanol® varies depending on the dosage form.Rivanol® ointment has a shelf life of 6 months after the tube is first opened.Rivanol® powder is chemically and physically stable for 7 days if the ready-to-use solution is stored protected from light.However, to be on the safe side, it is recommended to use the solution within a day.Rivanol® solution has a shelf life of 3 months after opening the bottle if stored properly.

Does Rivanol® discolor textiles?Contact of the ointment with materials that can become colored, such as clothing, carpets, PVC-floors, etc., should be avoided.Fabrics that have come into contact with the medicine should not be washed in the washing machine with other textiles.Fresh stains can be easily removed by washing.

Notes

Rivanol® solution 0.1% turns skin, laundry and other items yellow.Contact of the solution with materials that can be colored (e.g. clothing, carpets, PVC-floors, etc.) should be avoided.Do not wash cloths that have been soaked with Rivanol® solution 0.1% in the washing machine with other textiles.Fresh stains can be easily removed from laundry by simply washing, but they are difficult to remove after drying and oxidation.

Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
