Athrex pain gel contains the active ingredient diclofenac sodium and is used for the external symptomatic treatment of pain in acute strains, sprains or bruises in the extremities. It can be used for a short time in adults and adolescents over 14 years of age. The recommended dosage is a thinly applied amount to the affected part of the body 3 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 9 g of gel. The gel should not be applied to open wounds or mucous membranes. A duration of use of 1-2 weeks is recommended and treatment beyond this period has not been proven. The gel should not be used in children under 14 years of age. During pregnancy and lactation, the doctor should be consulted. Side effects such as skin reactions may occur. People with allergies to painkillers should use the gel carefully.
