Ibu-Lysine HEXAL film-coated tablets are used for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, period pain as well as fever and pain associated with colds. They are also used to treat the acute headache phase of migraine with or without aura. The dosage depends on the patient's body weight and varies from 1/2 to 1 film-coated tablet per dose, depending on age and weight. The total daily dose should not exceed 3 film-coated tablets. The film-coated tablets should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid. In children and adolescents, the medicine should only be used for a maximum of 3 days. Possible side effects are gastrointestinal complaints, headache, dizziness and skin reactions. The medicine should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients or if there are ulcers in the digestive tract. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. In the event of an overdose, symptoms such as headache, abdominal pain, nausea and breathing difficulties may occur.
