Canifug solution 1% is a medicine used to treat fungal skin infections.It is effective against dermatophytes, yeasts such as Candida species, molds and other pathogens such as Malassezia furfur.These fungal infections can manifest themselves as mycoses of the feet, skin and skin folds, as superficial candidiasis or as pityriasis versicolor.No prescription is required for this product.

The active ingredient in Canifug solution 1% is clotrimazole.Each milliliter of the spray contains 10 mg of clotrimazole.The preparation also contains the excipients macrogol 400, isopropanol and propylene glycol.

Area of application

Canifug solution 1% is used for fungal skin infections.These can manifest themselves as mycoses of the feet, skin and skin folds, as superficial candidiasis or as pityriasis versicolor.Pityriasis versicolor is characterized by sharply defined spots that appear brownish on light skin and whitish on dark skin.Light scratching causes superficial scaling.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients.The solution should not be used on the breast area during breastfeeding.

Dosage

Always use Canifug solution 1% exactly as described or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The solution is sprayed thinly onto the affected skin areas 2 to 3 times a day.The duration of treatment depends on the extent and location of the disease.In the case of athlete's foot, treatment should be continued for about 2 weeks after the symptoms have subsided in order to prevent relapses.With pityriasis versicolor, the disease generally resolves within 1-3 weeks.

Intake

Canifug solution 1% is a spray for use on the skin.Before using for the first time, remove the cap from the spray head and press the spray head down several times until an even spray mist is created.Place the bottle at a spray distance of 10-30 cm from the affected skin area and press the spray head 1 to 2 times with each application.Rub in the applied solution and then put the cap back on the spray head.If you have athlete's foot, the spaces between your toes should be dried thoroughly after each wash.
