Instructions for use for BIFON Gel, 15 g

Bifon Gel is an antimycotic for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin. It contains the active ingredient bifonazole and is used for fungal infections caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, moulds and other fungi such as Malassezia furfur as well as infections caused by Corynebacteria minutissimum. Bifon Gel is applied thinly to the affected skin areas and rubbed in. The duration of treatment varies depending on the type of infection. Possible side effects may include mild redness, burning, irritation or scaling of the skin. The package leaflet should be read carefully before use and a doctor should be consulted if side effects occur or symptoms persist. Bifon Gel must not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or other components of the gel. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, a doctor should be consulted before use. The gel should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date. In addition to bifonazole, the composition includes excipients such as benzyl alcohol, lactic acid and water. A doctor or pharmacist should be consulted if there are any questions about use or dosage.
