Bifon® Gel - for weeping skin and athlete's foot
Bifon® Gel with the active ingredient bifonazole is an effective solution for skin and athlete's foot infections.The active ingredient bifonazole is particularly effective against various types of fungi, including dermatophytes, yeasts, molds and other fungal species such as Malassezia furfur or Corynebacterium minutissimum.Bifon® Gel adheres well, even to damp skin, does not dry out and is not greasy.It is water-based and particularly suitable for weeping skin and athlete's foot.
No prescription is required for this product.
Area of application
Bifon® Gel is used for fungal skin diseases caused by various pathogens.These include mycoses of the skin and skin folds, mycoses between fingers and toes, bran mycoses, superficial yeast infections of the skin and dwarf lichen.
Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients
Bifon® Gel contains the active ingredient bifonazole.1 g gel contains 10 mg bifonazole.The other ingredients are benzyl alcohol, alpha-(hexadecyl, octadecyl)-omega-hydroxypoly(oxyethylene)-30, macrogol-7-glycerol cocoate, isopropyl isostearate, lactic acid, ethanol 96% and purified water.
Contraindications
If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, the product should not be used.
Dosage
Recommended use of Bifon® Gel: Unless otherwise prescribed, the gel is applied thinly to the affected skin areas and rubbed in once a day, preferably in the evening before going to bed.It is usually enough to apply a small amount of gel and rub it into an area about the size of your palm.Before each use, wash the affected skin areas to remove loose skin cells and any residue from the last treatment.After washing, dry them thoroughly, especially in hard-to-reach areas such as between the toes.
Patient information
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the product.If you have had a hypersensitive reaction to other medicines for fungal infections in the past, you should only use the medicine with caution.Avoid getting the gel in your eyes.If symptoms persist after treatment, consult a doctor.An antifungal treatment of the skin of the nail bed with the gel can only be carried out after the fungal-infected nail substance has been removed.
You should only use the product on infants and small children under medical supervision.Be careful not to get any gel into the mouth of the infant or young child.The gel has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
Pregnancy
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.There are no sufficient data from the use of bifonazole in pregnant women.Since bifonazole is an active ingredient that can only be used on the skin, a systemic effect is not expected.Nevertheless, use during pregnancy should only take place after a careful medical benefit-risk assessment.Use should be avoided in the first 3 months of pregnancy.Breastfeeding should be discontinued during treatment with bifonazole.
Notes
Carry out hygienic measures, such as changing linen regularly.Contains benzyl alcohol.Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
