Directions for use of the article Bifon Gel: Bifon Gel contains the active ingredient bifonazole and is used to treat fungal infections (mycoses) of the skin. It is effective against dermatophytes, yeasts, moulds and other fungi as well as infections caused by Corynebacteria minutissimum. The areas of application include mycoses of the feet and hands, mycoses of the rest of the body, mycoses of the skin and skin folds, pityriasis versicolor, superficial candidiasis and erythrasma. The exact application should be done according to the package insert and the instructions of a doctor or pharmacist. A permanent cure can be achieved by continuing treatment for the recommended periods. The package leaflet contains further information on instructions for use and possible side effects. Pregnant women should consult their doctor before use and Bifon Gel should not be used on the chest area during breastfeeding. The gel should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date. In addition to the active ingredient bifonazole, the composition contains other ingredients such as benzyl alcohol, lactic acid and ethanol 96%. Bifon gel is available in 15 g and 35 g tubes. Before use, any contraindications should be discussed, such as hypersensitivity to the active ingredient. Possible side effects may include skin irritation such as redness, burning or scaling.
