Area of application

This herbal medicine is used to support the treatment of various liver diseases.These include chronic inflammatory liver diseases, liver shrinkage (cirrhosis) and liver damage caused by toxins.However, it is not suitable for the treatment of acute poisoning.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each hard capsule contains 266.95 mg dry extract of milk thistle fruit, the extract being prepared in a ratio of 36-44:1 with ethyl acetate 98%.The active ingredient silymarin is contained in an amount of 156 mg.In addition, the preparation contains the following excipients: carboxymethyl starch, sodium salt type A, microcrystalline cellulose, iron(III)oxide, gelatin, magnesium stearate (vegetable), corn starch, sodium dodecyl sulfate, titanium dioxide and purified water.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to milk thistle fruits, other composite plants or any of the other ingredients.It is also not allowed to be taken during pregnancy.No prescription is required for this product.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as described or as your doctor has told you.As standard, adults should take one hard capsule twice daily unless the doctor tells you otherwise.The duration of treatment should be determined by the attending physician, depending on the type, severity and course of the disease.If symptoms persist, you should consult a doctor.

If you have taken a larger amount than intended, poisoning with milk thistle fruits has not yet been reported.It is possible that the side effects may become more severe.In this case, you should contact a doctor who will decide on any necessary measures.

If you forget to take it, do not take double the amount next time, but continue taking it as prescribed or as described in the dosage instructions.If you have any further questions about use, please contact your doctor or pharmacy.

Intake

Please take the hard capsule whole with sufficient liquid, such as a glass of water.

Pregnancy

The medicine must not be taken during pregnancy.It should also not be taken while breastfeeding, as there are no sufficient studies yet.
