Information for use with the article Folic acid SANAVITA 5 mg tablets: - Folic acid SANAVITA 5 mg tablets are used to treat folic acid deficiencies that cannot be corrected by diet. - The tablets should be taken unchewed with meals with some liquid. - The recommended dose is 1-3 tablets per day, depending on the need (corresponding to 5-15 mg folic acid). - In pregnancy, the dose should be limited to 1 tablet per day (corresponding to 5 mg folic acid). - An overdose can lead to gastrointestinal disorders, sleep disturbances, agitation and depression.
