Instructions for use for Terzolin 2% solution, 60 ml
Terzolin - The medical dandruff treatment
Dandruff is a common and recurring problem that often causes discomfort. The cause of this is often an infection of the scalp with the yeast Melassezia furfur. This fungus is part of the natural microflora of the scalp.Overgrowth of the fungus can cause scaling, itching, and redness, which in severe cases can lead to seborrheic dermatitis.
More than 50% of the population is affected by dandruff.Men are often more affected than women because hormonal reasons cause them to produce more sebum, which can promote the growth of yeast.
Area of application
Terzolin® 2% solution is a medical solution used to treat dandruff and other skin lesions. The ketoconazole (2%) in the solution inhibits fungal growth and thus prevents dandruff from forming. It has an anti-inflammatory and anti-itch effect and is also suitable for the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis and pityriasis versicolor (bran fungus). The solution works from the first application and can help relieve itching and combat dandruff in the long term.Due to its properties, the active ingredient is not water-soluble and remains on the scalp after washing, where it has a residual effect that lasts up to two weeks.
