Directions for use of the article Macrogol beta plus electrolytes: Macrogol beta plus electrolytes is a medicine for the treatment of constipation in adults, adolescents and elderly patients. It is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. The medicine helps with comfortable bowel movements, even in cases of prolonged constipation. The recommended dose is 1 sachet dissolved in 125 ml of water 1-3 times a day. The contents of one sachet are dissolved in water and then drunk. Treatment usually lasts about 2 weeks, but can be longer if necessary. An overdose may cause diarrhoea. A forgotten dose should be taken at the next prescribed time. Important information: This medicine should not be used for longer than 2 weeks without a doctor's recommendation. Laxatives are not suitable for weight loss.
