IBU-LYSIN-ratiopharm 400 mg film-coated tablets are a medicinal product used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderately severe pain such as headache, toothache, menstrual pain and fever and pain associated with colds. It can also be used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of the acute headache phase in migraine with or without aura. The medicine is used in children weighing 20 kg or more (from 6 years), adolescents and adults. It contains the active substance ibuprofen-DL-lysine (1:1). This medicinal product should not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, ulcers in the digestive tract, active bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, gastrointestinal complaints, inflammatory bowel diseases, blood formation disorders, blood coagulation disorders, high blood pressure, cardiac insufficiency, coronary heart disease, vasoconstriction of the heart, impaired kidney or liver function and during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Various adverse effects may occur, such as gastrointestinal complaints, headache, dizziness, insomnia, tiredness, skin reactions, visual disturbances and shortness of breath. The medicine should be taken with liquid and use should only be for a short time. The maximum daily dose for adults is three tablets. For children, the dose depends on their body weight.
