IBU-LYSIN-ratiopharm 400 mg film-coated tablets are used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderately severe pain such as headache, toothache, period pain as well as fever and pain associated with colds. They can also be used for acute headache phases of migraine with or without aura. The medicine is suitable for children from 6 years of age, adolescents and adults. It contains the active substance ibuprofen-DL-lysine (1:1). The tablets are lactose-free and divisible. The recommended dosage is based on the child's body weight and varies between half a tablet and three tablets per day. The maximum daily dose for adults is three tablets. The tablets should be taken with sufficient liquid, preferably with a meal. However, they should only be used for a short time and should follow the instructions of the doctor or pharmacist if necessary. Possible side effects include gastrointestinal discomfort, headache, dizziness, tiredness, skin reactions and breathing difficulties. People who are allergic to painkillers or any of the ingredients should not take the medicine. No other medicines should be used at the same time unless this has been agreed with a doctor or pharmacist. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use.
