Directions for use of the article Tavegil Tablets: Tavegil tablets contain the active ingredient clemastine fumarate and are used for the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives with no identifiable cause) and allergic rhinitis (hay fever and perennial allergic rhinitis) when immobilisation is required. It is important to note that Tavegil tablets contain lactose. The dosage and directions for use are as follows: Children aged 6-12 years should take half a tablet 2 times a day before meals, while adolescents aged 12 years and over and adults should take one tablet 2 times a day before meals. The duration of use is not limited. In the event of an overdose or forgetting to take a tablet, a doctor should be consulted immediately. There are contraindications to the use of Tavegil Tablets, such as hypersensitivity to the ingredients, porphyria, impaired kidney or liver function, narrowing of the digestive tract, heart disease, prolongation of the QT-duration in the ECG, narrow-angle glaucoma, enlargement of the prostate, narrowing of the bladder neck or disturbances of salt balance. Tavegil tablets should also not be used in infants under 1 year of age, and use is not usually recommended in children under 6 years of age. Possible side effects of Tavegil Tablets include nausea, stomach pain, constipation, dry mouth, headache, dizziness, sedation, agitation (especially in children), pulse acceleration and hypersensitivity reactions of the skin.
