Instructions for use for REGULATO No.1 Laxative herbal tea N, 30 g
Areas of application
Regulato Tea No. 1 Laxative tea is used for constipation. The product is intended for short-term use.
Composition
The active ingredients of this laxative tea are Tinnevelly senna and sennoside B. One teaspoon of the tea contains around 1 gram of senna, with a maximum sennoside B content of 28 milligrams.
Mode of action
The ingredients come from the senna plant, which acts as a natural mixture. There are two types of senna plants: Alexandrian and Tinnevelly senna. These plants are subshrubs with airy pinnate leaves and yellow flower clusters that develop into elongated oval legumes. They grow in tropical and subtropical regions, often on plantations in India or Malaysia. The main ingredients are anthranoids, which are obtained from extracts and powders of the fruits and leaves. Both the senna leaves and the fruits have a laxative effect. They stimulate the movements of the colon and inhibit the reabsorption of water and salts, causing the intestinal volume to increase. This leads to greater stretching of the intestinal wall and makes emptying easier.
Dosage and instructions for use
Children aged 10 and over and adults should take a teaspoon of the tea once a day in the morning or evening, regardless of meals. The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist. To use the tea, pour about 150 milliliters of boiling water over it and after about 10 minutes pour it through a tea strainer. The medicine should not be used for longer than 1-2 weeks without medical advice. If symptoms persist for a long time or recur regularly, you should consult a doctor. In the event of an overdose, painful intestinal cramps and severe diarrhea with loss of water and salt may occur. In this case, a doctor should be contacted immediately.Careful dosing is particularly important for infants, small children and older people.A dosage prescribed by the doctor may differ from the information in the package leaflet and should therefore be used according to his instructions.
Contraindications
The medicine must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, abdominal pain of unknown cause, inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, appendicitis, intestinal obstruction or dehydration.Children under 10 years of age should not use the medicine. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If the medicine has been prescribed despite a contraindication, this should be discussed with the doctor or pharmacist.
Side effects
The medicine can have side effects, but these only occur in exceptional cases. If you experience any discomfort or changes during treatment, you should consult a doctor or pharmacist. In particular, side effects that occur in at least one in 1,000 treated patients are taken into account.
