Aspirin migraine effervescent tablets are used for the acute treatment of the headache phase of migraine attacks with and without aura.The effervescent tablets work quickly and reliably and can also relieve accompanying symptoms such as nausea, sensitivity to light and noise.The active ingredient acetylsalicylic acid has an anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and pain-relieving effect.

Mode of action

The active ingredient acetylsalicylic acid inhibits the formation of prostaglandins, which are involved in the development of pain, fever and inflammation.This means that the medicine has a pain-relieving, fever-reducing and anti-inflammatory effect.Acetylsalicylic acid also influences blood clotting by preventing blood platelets from clumping together and improving blood flow.

The effervescent tablets contain 500 mg acetylsalicylic acid as the active ingredient.Sodium carbonate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, sodium dihydrogen citrate, citric acid and sodium ions are included as excipients.The total sodium ion content is 544 mg.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken in case of hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid or other salicylates, bronchial asthma, acute stomach and intestinal ulcers, increased bleeding tendency, liver and kidney failure and severe heart muscle weakness.The medicine should also not be taken in the last three months of pregnancy.If you have chronic stomach or duodenal problems, heart disease, impaired kidney or liver function or a tendency to gout attacks, you should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it.

Dosage

The recommended dose for teenagers over 16 years and adults is 2 effervescent tablets, dissolved in a glass of water and drunk.If necessary, the single dose can be taken up to 3 times a day at intervals of 4-8 hours, although the total daily dose of 6 effervescent tablets should not be exceeded.If symptoms persist or worsen, a doctor should be consulted.

Intake

The effervescent tablets should be dissolved in a glass of water and the entire contents drunk.It should not be taken on an empty stomach.
