Mode of action

The active ingredient acetylsalicylic acid in aspirin migraine effervescent tablets has a pain-relieving, fever-reducing and anti-inflammatory effect.Acetylsalicylic acid inhibits the formation of prostaglandins, which are involved in the development of pain, fever and inflammation.The active ingredient also influences blood clotting by preventing blood platelets from clumping together and thus improving the flow of the blood.

The effervescent tablets contain 500 mg acetylsalicylic acid as the active ingredient.The following excipients are included: citric acid, anhydrous, sodium carbonate, sodium dihydrogen citrate and sodium hydrogen carbonate.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to acetylsalicylic acid or other salicylates, if you have acute stomach and intestinal ulcers, if you have a pathologically increased tendency to bleeding, if you have liver and kidney failure, or if you have severe heart muscle weakness that is not controlled by medication.The medicine should also not be taken in the last three months of pregnancy.

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 16 years of age is 2 effervescent tablets as a single dose, taken at intervals of 4-8 hours up to 3 times a day.However, the total daily dose should not be exceeded.If you suspect an overdose, you should notify your doctor immediately.

Intake

Dissolve the two effervescent tablets in a glass of water and drink the entire contents of the glass.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when taking the drug if you are hypersensitive to other painkillers, if you have allergies, asthma, hay fever, nasal polyps or chronic respiratory diseases, if you are being treated at the same time with anticoagulant drugs, if you have a history of stomach or intestinal ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding, and if you have impaired liver and kidney function.Before operations, the doctor or dentist should be informed that you are taking the medicine.

Pregnancy

The medicine should not be taken in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy.Acetylsalicylic acid should not be taken in the last three months of pregnancy due to an increased risk of complications for mother and child.During breastfeeding, long-term use or high doses should be discontinued.
