Instructions for use of Sterillium disinfectant

Sterillium hand disinfectant is a solution used for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection as well as skin disinfection before injections and punctures.The active ingredients are propan-2-ol, propan-1-ol and mecetronium etil sulfate.No prescription is required for this product.

Product features

Sterillium is comprehensively effective against bacteria, yeasts and enveloped viruses as well as noroviruses, adenoviruses and rotaviruses.It is particularly skin-friendly and moisturizing, increases skin moisture, maintains skin elasticity and, when used regularly, prevents rough and cracked skin.The natural pH value of the skin is maintained and the product is characterized by excellent tolerability even with long-term use.The care effect has been proven in numerous clinical studies.

Composition

100 g of the solution contains the following active ingredients: propan-2-ol 45.0 g, propan-1-ol 30.0 g and mecetronium etil sulfate 0.2 g.The other ingredients are glycerol 85%, tetradecan-1-ol, fragrances, patent blue V 85% and purified water.

Areas of application

Sterillium is used for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection as well as for skin disinfection before injections and punctures.It is not suitable for disinfecting mucous membranes and should not be used in the immediate vicinity of the eyes or open wounds.

Contraindications

Sterillium should not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.It is not suitable for newborns and premature babies.In case of contact with eyes, the opened eyes should be washed with running water for several minutes.

Side effects

Occasionally, slight dryness or irritation of the skin may occur.In such cases, it is recommended to intensify your general skin care routine.Allergic reactions are rare.

Warnings

Sterillium should not be used on newborns and premature babies.Only use electrical devices after they have dried.Do not bring into contact with open flames.Also do not use near sources of ignition.Flash point 23 °C, flammable.If the product is used as intended, there are no risks of fire or explosion.If the disinfectant is spilled, the following measures must be taken: immediately absorb the liquid, dilute it with plenty of water, ventilate the room and eliminate sources of ignition.Do not smoke.In the event of a fire, extinguish with water, dry powder, foam or CO2.Any decanting may only be carried out under aseptic conditions (sterile bench).

Dosage and instructions for use

For hygienic hand disinfection, rub at least 3 ml into dry hands for 30 seconds and keep moist.Use twice if you come into contact with pathogens.For surgical hand disinfection, rub into dry hands and forearms for at least 1.5 minutes and keep moist.Rub into dry skin for 15 seconds before injections and punctures.The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

The medicine must be protected from heat and stored in the dark (e.g. in the outer box).After opening or preparation, it may be used for a maximum of 1 year and must be stored at room temperature and in the dark.
