Instructions for use of Biotin beta 5 tablets

Biotin beta 5 is a vitamin supplement used to prevent and treat biotin deficiency.For prevention, less than 0.2 mg of biotin per day is sufficient.It is also used to treat biotin deficiency in the very rare biotin-dependent multiple carboxylase deficiency.No prescription is required for this product.

Important notes

Biotin beta 5 contains lactose.Please only take Biotin beta 5 after consulting your doctor if you know that you suffer from an intolerance to certain sugars.

Areas of application

Biotin beta 5 is used to prevent and treat biotin deficiency and to treat biotin deficiency states in biotin-dependent multiple carboxylase deficiency.

Dosage and instructions for use

The recommended dose to prevent and treat biotin deficiency is 1-2 tablets (equivalent to 5-10 mg biotin) daily.To treat multiple carboxylase deficiency, 1-2 tablets (corresponding to 5-10 mg biotin) are also taken daily.The tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid, such as a glass of water.The duration of intake depends on the course of the underlying disease and should be done in consultation with a doctor.

Contraindications

Biotin beta 5 must not be taken if you are allergic to biotin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking it.

Side effects

Very rarely, allergic skin reactions such as hives can occur.If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Composition

The active ingredient is biotin.One tablet contains 5 mg of biotin (vitamin H).The other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone, povidone K 30 and magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.).

Storage

Keep this medicine out of the reach and reach of children.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging.Do not throw away medicines via wastewater or household waste.Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicine when you no longer use it.
