Instructions for use for Pantoprazole Dexcel Protect 20 mg gastro-resistant tablets, 14 pcs
Application
Pantoprazole Dexcel® Protect 20 mg enteric-coated tablets contain the active ingredient pantoprazole, which reduces the production of stomach acid. This happens by pantoprazole blocking a specific pump that is responsible for producing stomach acid. This reduces the amount of stomach acid. This medicine is used for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms such as heartburn and acid reflux in adults.Reflux occurs when stomach acid flows back into the esophagus and irritates it, which can cause painful symptoms such as a burning sensation in the chest and a sour taste in the mouth.
The symptoms can be relieved after just one day of treatment, but the medicine does not have to provide immediate relief. It may be necessary to take the tablets over 2 to 3 consecutive days to relieve symptoms. If your symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks or even worsen, you should consult a doctor.
Dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as described or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The recommended dose is one tablet daily, taken before a meal.Swallow the tablet whole with a little water and do not bite or break it.Do not exceed the recommended daily dose of 20 mg pantoprazole.
It should be taken over at least 2 to 3 consecutive days.Stop taking it as soon as you are free of symptoms. If you do not notice any improvement after 2 weeks of continuous use, contact your doctor.Do not take the medicine for more than 4 weeks without medical advice.
If you have taken more than recommended, tell your doctor or pharmacist. If you forget to take a dose, do not take a double dose, but continue taking it at the next scheduled time.

Pantoprazole Dexcel® Protect - stomach acid: less is more
Pantoprazole helps control stomach acid production. Reflux symptoms can be caused not only by eating, but also by psychological stress. When the stomach or mind is overloaded, stomach acid production can be increased.Pantoprazole can reduce this production and prevent the reflux of stomach acid, which is an effective aid against reflux symptoms.
Proton pump inhibitors such as Pantoprazole Dexcel® Protect 20 mg usually work quickly. Thanks to an enteric coating, they pass through the stomach undamaged and only then release the active ingredient, which reaches the stomach and the proton pumps via the bloodstream.
