Ibu-Lysin Dexcel 400 mg film-coated tablets are a painkilling and fever-reducing medicine containing the active substance ibuprofen. It is used to treat mild to moderately severe pain as well as to reduce fever. The film-coated tablets are manufactured by Dexcel-Pharma and have a fast onset of action because they contain ibuprofen as ibuprofen lysinate. The active ingredient is quickly absorbed into the body and can therefore act quickly against different types of pain and fever. The tablets can be taken by adults and adolescents aged 12 and over who weigh at least 40 kg. The recommended dosage is 1 tablet every 6 hours, but not more than 3 tablets per day. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose and not to take the medicine for more than 3 days for fever or 4 days for pain, unless a doctor has ordered otherwise. When taken, the film-coated tablets should be taken with plenty of liquid, preferably water. People with sensitive stomachs may take the tablets with food. Side effects such as gastrointestinal discomfort, headache or allergic reactions may occur. Prolonged use of painkillers may result in headaches caused by the painkiller. Pregnant women, breastfeeding women and people with certain pre-existing conditions should seek medical advice before taking the tablets. High amounts of alcohol should not be consumed, especially during long-term treatment with this medicine.
