Magnesium Diasporal 2 mmol is used in cases of proven magnesium deficiency if this is the cause of disorders of muscle activity such as neuromuscular disorders or leg cramps.Other areas of application include eclampsia, pre-eclampsia and premature birth attempts.Therapy with magnesium sulfate is only indicated if the magnesium serum level is below normal values (0.8 - 1.1 mmol/l) and the calcium serum level is normal (2.2 - 2.7 mmol/l).

Possible side effects include feeling warm, flushing, nausea, headache, tingling, sweating, agitation, restlessness, sleepiness, slowing of cardiac and respiratory activity, bradycardia, conduction disorders and peripheral vasodilatation.These side effects usually disappear quickly when the dose is reduced or the injection time is increased.

Keep medicines out of the reach of children.The product must not be used after the expiry date stated on the ampoules and carton.
