Area of application
This medicine is an antifungal used to treat various fungal skin diseases.It is effective against infections caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, molds and other pathogens such as Malassezia furfur or Corynebacterium minutissimum.These include, among others:
Fungal infections of the skin and skin folds, such as tinea corporis and tinea inguinalis, fungal infections between the fingers and toes known as tinea pedis and tinea manuum, pityriasis versicolor, superficial yeast infections of the skin, also known as candidiasis, and dwarf lichen, medically called erythrasma.
Active ingredients and ingredients
The active ingredient in this medicine is bifonazole with a concentration of 10 mg per gram of cream.The cream also contains the following excipients: (RS)-2-octyldodecan-1-ol, cetostearyl alcohol, hexadecyl palmitate, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, purified water and benzyl alcohol.
Contraindications
This medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive or allergic to bifonazole or any of the other ingredients in the cream.
Dosage and application
Apply the cream to the affected skin areas once a day.For an area the size of a palm, around 1 gram of cream is usually enough, which corresponds to a strand length of 0.5 to 1 centimeter.The cream is applied thinly and rubbed in lightly.
The duration of treatment varies depending on the type and extent of the fungal infection.It is important to use it regularly and for a sufficiently long period of time to achieve complete healing.Treatment should not be stopped immediately after acute symptoms have subsided.For fungal skin diseases, the usual treatment period is 2 to 4 weeks.

Special Notes
In infants, the medicine should only be used under medical supervision.There is no experience that indicates an impairment of the ability to drive or use machines.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Bifonazole should only be used during pregnancy after careful risk-benefit assessment, as there is no experience with its use in pregnant women.The medicine must not be used in the breast area during breastfeeding.Before using any medicines, always ask your doctor or pharmacy for advice.
Hygiene measures
To support the treatment, hygienic measures such as regular linen changes should be carried out.
Instructions for use
If you have used more medicine than intended, you can continue treatment at the prescribed dose.No adverse effects are to be expected in the event of a short-term overdose.
If you forget to use it, continue treatment as indicated in the dosage instructions.Do not apply the cream more frequently or in larger quantities.
