Naproxen - 1 A Pharma® 250 mg for menstrual pain
Naproxen - 1 A Pharma® is a pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory, and fever-reducing medication belonging to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).The active ingredient blocks the chemical messengers in the body involved in the development of pain, fever, and inflammation.Naproxen has proven particularly effective in treating menstrual pain.

Active ingredients / constituents / ingredients
Naproxen - 1 A Pharma® 250 mg for menstrual pain contains the active ingredient naproxen.One tablet contains 250 mg of naproxen.The other ingredients are crospovidone, hydroxypropyl cellulose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate (vegetable-based), maize starch, and iron(III) hydroxide oxide x H2O.
Indication
Naproxen - 1 A Pharma® 250 mg for menstrual pain is particularly suitable for relieving mild to moderate menstrual pain.The medication is suitable for both adolescents aged 12 and older and adults.
Dosage
For adults and adolescents aged 12 and older, the recommended initial dose is 1–2 tablets (equivalent to up to 500 mg of naproxen).Subsequent single doses of 1 tablet (equivalent to 250 mg of naproxen) should be taken at intervals of 8–12 hours.The maximum daily dose is 3 tablets (equivalent to up to 750 mg of naproxen).
Patients with impaired liver or kidney function should not take more than 2 tablets per day, divided into 2 separate doses.
Administration
Please swallow the tablets whole with plenty of liquid, such as a glass of water, preferably before meals.This promotes the onset of action.For patients with a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take the tablets with meals.
Contraindications
This product should not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients listed above.
Information for patients
Please speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.If use of this medicine is required for more than 4 days, or if symptoms worsen, medical advice should be sought.
Since central nervous system side effects such as fatigue and dizziness may occur with the use of higher doses of naproxen, your ability to react may be altered and your capacity to drive or operate machinery impaired in individual cases.This applies to an even greater extent when combined with alcohol.You may then be unable to react quickly and appropriately enough to unexpected or sudden events.In such cases, do not drive a car or other vehicles.Do not operate tools or machinery.Do not work without a secure footing.
Pregnancy
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
If pregnancy is confirmed during the use of naproxen, the doctor must be notified.You may take Naproxen during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy only after consulting your doctor.If you take Naproxen for more than a few days from the 20th week of pregnancy onwards, it may cause kidney problems in your unborn child, which can lead to low levels of the amniotic fluid surrounding your child (oligohydramnios) or the narrowing of a blood vessel (ductus arteriosus) in your child's heart.If treatment for longer than a few days is required, your doctor may recommend additional monitoring.
Naproxen must not be used during the last trimester of pregnancy due to an increased risk of complications for both mother and child.It can cause kidney and heart problems in your unborn child.It can affect bleeding tendencies in both you and your child and may cause labor to start later or last longer than expected.
Naproxen should not be used during the postpartum period due to the potential for increased postpartum bleeding.
Small amounts of the active substance naproxen and its breakdown products pass into breast milk.As a precaution, the use of Naproxen during breastfeeding should be avoided.
This medicine belongs to a group of medicines (NSAIDs) that may impair female fertility.This effect is reversible upon discontinuation of the medicine.
