Instructions for use of the article UrgoTül Foam Foam wound dressing 10 cm x 12 cm: UrgoTül Foam is an absorbent foam wound dressing with micro-adhesive lipid colloid technology. It consists of a microadhesive TLC-matrix in contact with the wound and an absorbent polyurethane foam dressing. The dressing forms a lipidocolloid film in contact with the wound exudate, which maintains a favourable physiological environment for wound healing. It gels in contact with the wound and can be removed atraumatically without damaging the newly formed tissue structures. The dressing is painless to change and protects the skin around the wound. The foam dressing ensures optimal drainage of exudates and thus protects the surrounding skin. The non-woven polyurethane backing is soft, conformable and comfortable. The micro-adhesive wound dressing facilitates nursing procedures. UrgoTül Foam is suitable for the treatment of exuding chronic and acute wounds as well as tumour-induced wounds in conjunction with specific therapy. Instructions for use: - Cleanse the wound according to the usual care protocol and rinse with sterile physiological saline solution. - Dry the wound area thoroughly. - UrgoTül Foam can be cut with sterile scissors to fit the size of the wound dressing. - Remove the protective films from the microadhesive side and apply UrgoTül Foam directly to the wound. - Secure the dressing with a secondary dressing. If necessary, it can also be used under a compression bandage. Indications: UrgoTül Foam is suitable for the treatment of exuding chronic and acute wounds, such as lower leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, 2nd degree burns, skin abrasions, traumatic wounds, postoperative wounds as well as for the local acute treatment of tumour-induced wounds in conjunction with specific therapy.
