Naproxen axicur 250 mg tablets are an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory medicine. It is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderately severe pain such as menstrual pain, headache, toothache and fever. Naproxen is taken as a tablet, unchewed, with plenty of liquid, preferably before meals. The recommended dose is 1 tablet (equivalent to 250 mg naproxen) for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over, to be taken at 8-12 hour intervals. The maximum daily dose is 3 tablets (equivalent to up to 750 mg naproxen). Patients with impaired liver or kidney function should not take more than 2 tablets per day divided into 2 single doses. Naproxen axicur 250 mg tablets should not be used for more than 3 days for fever and for more than 4 days for pain. Side effects may include gastrointestinal complaints, headache, dizziness, tiredness, skin reactions and others. The medicine must not be used in case of hypersensitivity to naproxen or other ingredients, gastrointestinal ulcers, blood formation disorders, active bleeding or certain heart diseases. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor. Naproxen axicur should not be used for children under 12 years of age and elderly patients should be carefully monitored. Care should also be taken that intake is not excessive and alcohol consumption is avoided. The package leaflet should be read before use.
