Naproxen axicur 250 mg tablets are an anti-inflammatory and antipyretic medicine (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory/antirheumatic). It is used for the short-term treatment of mild to moderate pain such as period pain, headache, toothache and fever. The recommended dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over is 1 tablet (250 mg naproxen) every 8-12 hours. The maximum daily dose is 3 tablets (750 mg naproxen). Naproxen axicur tablets should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid. If necessary, they can be taken during meals. People with impaired liver or kidney function should not take more than 2 tablets per day. Naproxen axicur tablets contain lactose and should therefore be used with caution if you are lactose intolerant. Side effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, headache, dizziness and skin reactions. In case of pain or fever, treatment should not be continued for more than 4 days (for pain) or 3 days (for fever) without medical advice. The package leaflet should be read before use.
