ThermaCare heat compresses for period pain help to relax cramped muscles and relieve abdominal pain quickly and effectively.The ergonomic fit of the heating pads allows for more relaxed days with fewer stomach cramps, even when you're on the move.This product provides effective and targeted temporary relief from mild menstrual cramps and associated back pain.It is intended for patients aged 12 and over who can use the product independently.No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

ThermaCare heat compresses for period pain consist of a skin-friendly fleece in which patented heat cells are embedded.After opening the airtight packaging, contact with oxygen in the air initiates an oxidation process that heats the heat cells on their own.

The ingredients in ThermaCare for period pain include the following components in each heat cell: iron granules, activated carbon, salt and water.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, the product should not be used.

Application

Tear open the bag immediately before use.Do not cut into the heat envelope.Peel off the paper to reveal the adhesive side.Place the adhesive side against the underwear and not against the skin on the pain area.See the Do Not Use section for areas where the product should not be used.It may take up to 30 minutes for ThermaCare to reach its therapeutic temperature.Remove the heat pack after 8 hours.

Do not use the product for more than 8 hours in a 24-hour period.Do not allow the heat cells to overlap.Do not put additional pressure on the product, e.g.B. by leaning against hard surfaces or wearing under tight clothing or a belt.If the product feels too hot, stop using or wear it over thin clothing rather than directly on the skin.To avoid an increased risk of burns, remove the product before undergoing a MRT-procedure (magnetic resonance imaging).Keep the heat packs dry.Read the “Instructions for Use” section.In the event of a serious incident occurring in connection with the product, the manufacturer, the authorized representative and the local authority must be informed.At the end of use, when its thermal function is exhausted, dispose of the product in accordance with local regulations for household waste collection and avoid disseminating its contents into the environment.No special storage conditions are required for this product.

Notes

Special warnings and precautions for use: This product may cause burns/blisters.Check your skin regularly during use.If you notice skin irritation or burns, remove the product immediately.For users who cannot use the product independently or for users between 12 and 18 years of age: Supervision by a carer is required.

Ages 55 and over: Your risk of burns increases as you age.If you are 55 or older, wear ThermaCare over thin clothing and not while you sleep.Talk to your doctor before use if you have diabetes, circulatory problems, heart disease or rheumatoid arthritis or if you are pregnant.Stop use and talk to your doctor if you notice any discomfort, burning, swelling, rashes or other persistent changes in your skin in the application area and if your pain persists for more than 4 days or worsens.

Each heat cell contains iron powder (approx. 2g).If swallowed, please seek professional help immediately.In case of skin or eye contact, remove the heat pack, rinse the affected area with water and seek professional help immediately.If the heat wrap becomes damaged or tears during use, remove it.Keep out of the reach of children and pets.Do not heat or attempt to reheat in the microwave as ThermaCare could catch fire.

Do not use: if the heat cells are leaking and/or the heat envelope is damaged or torn or the packaging is damaged, together with topically applied preparations, on diseased, damaged or injured skin, on bruises and swellings that have occurred in the last 48 hours, on people who cannot follow the instructions for use or who cannot remove the product themselves, together with other types of heat, on users under 12 years of age, if pregnant, on anything other than those specified in the instructions for usespecified areas.
