Mode of action

FRONTLINE COMBO® is the combination protection for animals and homes.After being applied to the dog's skin, the product is distributed with the skin's natural sebum film and acts like an outer, invisible protective coat against ticks, fleas and lice.For optimal distribution, the animal should not be bathed within 2 days after application.After that, FRONTLINE COMBO® is waterproof.The parasites absorb the active ingredient upon contact with fur and skin and are rendered harmless within a few days.At the same time, the development of new flea eggs, larvae and pupae on the animal and in the animal's immediate environment is inhibited.

Area of application

FRONTLINE COMBO® has a protective effect against ticks, fleas and lice on the animal as well as against flea eggs, flea larvae and flea pupae in the animal's immediate surroundings.The effect occurs as soon as the parasite touches the skin, so there is no need to sting first.The active ingredient is only stored externally on the dog's skin and in the sebaceous glands and is therefore tolerated. FRONTLINE COMBO® can also be used to treat flea bite allergy.It can be used on dogs from 8 weeks of age and 2 kg body weight as well as on pregnant and lactating bitches.

Why do I still see ticks and fleas after treatment?Due to the principle of action of FRONTLINE COMBO®, it is possible that live ticks that have newly infested the dog are temporarily visible on the animal.However, they are rendered harmless as soon as sufficient active ingredient has penetrated the armor.If fleas are discovered on the animal, flea eggs, larvae and pupae have usually already infested the surrounding area. FRONTLINE COMBO® also inhibits the development of the flea population in your own home thanks to its combination of active ingredients.In order to interrupt the entire flea cycle, targeted environmental treatment is recommended, for example by vacuuming and washing the infested textiles every day.The flea infestation can be combated even more quickly using an environmental product (e.g. FRONTLINE HOMEGARD®).

How do I protect my puppy or young dog from fleas and ticks?Puppies can also be infected with parasites.Fleas can cause problems for little ones and, in cases of massive infestation, can even cause anemia. FRONTLINE® SPRAY can be used in dog and cat puppies from the first day of life.It immediately renders ticks and fleas harmless and can be adjusted precisely to the weight of the puppy.From an age of 8 weeks and/or a body weight of 2 kg, you can switch to FRONTLINE COMBO®.

FRONTLINE COMBO Dog & Home against ticks, fleas, larvae 10-20 kg contains: 1 pipette with 1.34 ml solution contains: Active ingredient(s): Fipronil 134.00 mg, (S)-methoprene 120.60 mg. Other ingredients: Butylhydroxyanisole (E320) 0.27 mg, Butylhydroxytoluene (E321) 0.13 mg.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

Remove a pipette from the packaging.Hold the pipette upright and bend the pipette tip downwards at the perforated point.Part the dog's fur between the shoulder blades and place the pipette directly on the skin.Then empty the pipette.The active ingredient is distributed over the entire skin with the natural sebum film within 1 to 2 days.For complete, optimal protection, FRONTLINE COMBO should be used monthly in dogs.
