Aurica psyllium seeds are used to treat constipation and to facilitate bowel movements.They help to soften the stool, which is particularly beneficial for tears in the anal mucosa, hemorrhoids, after rectal-anal surgery, during pregnancy or for irritable bowel syndrome.

Dosage and instructions for use

Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults should take a teaspoon (approx. 5 g) of psyllium seeds several times a day.These should be pre-soaked in water beforehand.It is important to drink enough fluids after consumption.The duration of use depends on the type and course of the symptoms.If problems persist or recur, a doctor should be consulted.There are no known symptoms of overdose.Careful dosage should be taken, especially in infants, small children and older people.A dosage prescribed by the doctor may differ from the information in the package leaflet and should therefore be followed accordingly.

Contraindications

Psyllium should not be used if you are hypersensitive to the ingredients, if you have constrictions in the digestive tract, if you have intestinal obstruction or threat of intestinal obstruction, or if you have diabetes mellitus that is difficult to control.Children under 12 years of age should generally not use the medicine.According to current knowledge, there are no concerns about its use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.If you have any contraindications, you should still speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
