Directions for use - Ibu-Lysin 400 mg Film-Coated Tablets Ibu-Lysin 400 mg Film-Coated Tablets contain the active substance ibuprofen and belong to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). They are used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of headaches and migraine pain in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over with a body weight of at least 40 kg. Always take the medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet. The lowest effective dose should be used and treatment should not last longer than 3 days unless medical advice is sought. The recommended dose for adults and adolescents weighing 40 kg or more is 1 film-coated tablet taken up to 3 times daily with water at least 6 hours apart. The maximum daily dose is 3 film-coated tablets (1,200 mg ibuprofen). Please take the medicine during a meal, especially if you have a sensitive stomach. Note that children under 12 years of age or adolescents under 40 kg body weight must not use the medicine. Elderly people do not need any special dose adjustment. If you suspect an overdose or have forgotten to take it, consult a doctor immediately. Possible side effects are gastrointestinal complaints, headache, dizziness, tiredness, skin rash and shortness of breath. Note that the medicine must not be used in certain contraindications, such as hypersensitivity to the ingredients, ulcers in the digestive tract, impaired liver or kidney function, heart failure or bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract.
