The active ingredients in zinc ointment ratiopharm are zinc oxide, cod liver oil and glycerol 85%.The ointment also contains the following excipients: thin paraffin, cetostearyl alcohol, wool wax alcohols, white petroleum jelly, butylated hydroxytoluene, palmitoyl ascorbic acid, citric acid, glycerol monostearate, propylene glycol, vanillin and purified water.

Contraindications

Zinc ointment ratiopharm must not be used if there is an allergy to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients.It is also not suitable for use on infected wounds.Infection should be ruled out before use.

Dosage

The ointment is applied to the affected skin areas one to several times a day.If necessary, the treated skin areas can be covered with gauze.The duration of treatment depends on the type and course of the disease.If you have any questions about use, you should consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Patient information

Notes

Zinc ointment ratiopharm contains cetostearyl alcohol, wool wax, butylhydroxytoluene and propylene glycol.These substances can cause localized skin irritation.Butylhydroxytoluene can also cause irritation to the eyes and mucous membranes.

Storage

Keep the ointment out of the reach of children and do not store it above 25°C.Once opened, the ointment has a shelf life of 12 months.
