Utipro akut & protect is a medical device for the control and prevention of urinary tract infections (cystitis). It is taken orally and contains xyloglucan and gelose, which act physically in the intestine to reduce the multiplication of pathogens. It is taken at the first symptoms of urinary tract disease and can also be used to prevent recurrences. The recommended dosage is 2 capsules per day for 5 days for acute symptoms and 1 capsule per day for at least 15 consecutive days to prevent relapses. There are some warnings to be aware of, such as diagnosis of a urinary tract infection by a doctor and not using it during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
