No prescription is required for this product.Aurica licorice root tea is an herbal medicine used to treat respiratory diseases and stomach problems.It has an antispasmodic, expectorant, expectorant and anti-inflammatory effect.The tea consists of the dried, mostly unpeeled roots of licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra), also known as licorice.Traditionally, the aromatic-sweet tea is used for inflammatory diseases in the gastrointestinal area and for diseases of the upper respiratory tract.Aurica licorice root tea is therefore an ideal aid for heartburn, acid-related stomach cramps, sore throats and coughs.

Contraindications

Liquorice root tea should not be used in liver diseases caused by bile stasis, liver cirrhosis, high blood pressure, reduced potassium content in the blood, severe kidney failure, pregnancy and hypersensitivity to the ingredients.Children under 12 years of age should generally not use the medicine.If you are breastfeeding, you should seek medical or pharmacist advice before use.

Interactions with other agents

Potassium losses may be increased by other drugs, such as thiazide and loop diuretics.Potassium losses increase sensitivity to digitalis glycosides.

Dosage instructions and method of application

Unless otherwise prescribed, a cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows is drunk 2 to 3 times a day: 1 1/2 teaspoonfuls (approx. 4.5 g) of licorice root tea are poured over with boiling water (approx. 150 ml) and after 10 to 15 minutes, if necessary, strained through a tea strainer.

Duration of application

Liquorice root tea infusions should not be drunk for longer than 4 to 6 weeks without medical advice.

Side effects

With prolonged use and higher doses, mineralocorticoid effects can occur in the form of sodium and water retention, loss of potassium with high blood pressure, edema, reduction in the potassium content in the blood and, in rare cases, red coloring of the urine due to the addition of myoglobin.If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Composition
