What is Multilind® healing ointment with nystatin and what is it used for?

Multilind® healing ointment with nystatin is a combined medicine that is used to treat fungal infections of the skin and mucous membranes.It contains the active ingredients nystatin and zinc oxide.Nystatin is effective against yeast fungi, particularly Candida albicans, and is used to prevent and treat infections.Zinc oxide helps with inflammatory and weeping skin changes, relieves itching and promotes wound healing.

Areas of application

Multilind® healing ointment is used for various skin problems, including inflammation of the skin and mucous membranes, soreness caused by mechanical irritation (“wolf”), as well as red, itchy and burning spots in the body folds, in the buttocks and chest area and between the thighs, such as diaper rash.

Dosage and application

The healing ointment is applied to the affected skin areas one to several times a day.Treatment should continue for a few days after complete healing.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredients in Multilind® healing ointment are nystatin and zinc oxide.Nystatin has an antifungal effect and damages the cell membrane of fungi, inhibiting their growth and killing them.Zinc oxide has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial effects and promotes wound healing.The other ingredients are thick paraffin, polyethylene and citrus rose perfume oil.

Contraindications

Multilind® healing ointment should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.

Side effects

Possible side effects may include skin hypersensitivity reactions such as rash and itching.If side effects occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be contacted.

Storage

The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children.After first opening, the healing ointment must be used within 12 months.The expiry date on the packaging should be noted.Medicines should not be disposed of in wastewater or household waste.

In case of hypersensitivity, the medicine should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.Effects on the ability to drive and use machines have not yet been reported.Medicines should not be disposed of in wastewater or household waste.
