Information for use on the article Diclofenac AbZ Schmerzgel 10 mg/g Gel for joints: - Diclofenac AbZ Schmerzgel contains the active substance diclofenac and is used for the local, symptomatic treatment of pain. - It is used in adults for the treatment of acute strains, sprains or bruises, osteoarthritis of the knee and finger joints, epicondylitis and acute muscle pain. - In adolescents aged 14 years and over, it is used for the short-term treatment of acute strains, sprains or bruises resulting from blunt trauma. - It contains a fragrance with benzyl alcohol and other fragrances. - Certain precautions should be observed before use, e.g. in case of asthma, hypersensitivity to painkillers and rheumatism medicines, or in case of large-area application on the skin. - During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the application should only be carried out after consultation with a doctor. - The gel should be applied thinly to the affected parts of the body and lightly massaged into the skin. - The duration of application should not exceed one week. If symptoms persist or worsen, a doctor should be consulted. - Possible side effects are skin reactions such as rash, itching and redness. - The medicinal product should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be disposed of in the sewage system. - The gel contains 10 mg diclofenac sodium per 1 g gel and other excipients such as carbomer and propylene glycol.
